Ohhhhhhh! Neopets!! So many memories! ❤️

I absolutely love the inspiration behind this game, especially because Neopets had so many black-and-white illustrations you could print and color yourself. That nostalgic feeling came back immediately while reading.

I definitely didn't see it coming that each ingredient would inspire its own adorable pet! The Batterfly is such a perfect fit for Echo, and I honestly love every single one of them. Now I just want moooooore... moooore Neopets-inspired creatures! 😄

I could easily imagine this growing into a much bigger game with a complete pet system, lots of different creatures, evolutions, and quests. Maybe that's not your plan, but I'd definitely love to see more of it one day. ^^

I did have one question about the Dream Fairy's Quest. I really like the idea of rescuing the eight Sleep Sheep and eventually earning the Crown of Dreams, but I wasn't quite sure how the quest is actually meant to be played. The text mentions succeeding on a skill challenge each night, but I couldn't find any rules explaining how to resolve that challenge. Is it intentionally left up to the GM to decide, or am I missing something?

Overall, this was such a cute and nostalgic read. Thanks for bringing back so many wonderful childhood memories!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through it!

The Mossth is my favorite but Batterfly was the first one I thought of!

I see where you're coming from and may remove the "secret" pet in order to add depth to the Dream Fairy's Quest instead because I was really hurting for words by the end and I designed the pets first. It is meant to be up to the GM but I would like to have a d8 table or something for where the sheep might be and/or what skill might be applicable since it is very vague.

I would love to make a more "full" version of this in the future. I had tentatively called it Creature Keeper but changed it at the last minute in case i wanted to expand it in the future haha.

Thanks again for reading and commenting! :)
